Insulating Your Home

If your house is energy efficient, you'll be able to use a smaller, less expensive heat pump. PSE recommends the following levels of insulation:

Ceilings: R-30-38

Walls: R-11 (R-19 for 2x6 construction)

Floors: R-19

Insulation of Furnace Ducts: R-11

Insulated Glass or Storm Windows
